Service Mesh for Kubernetes
What is Sevice Mesh and When You Might Need It: DevOps and Docker Live Show (Ep 43)
I had a great talk about the journey to microservices with Betty Junod of (previously of Docker Inc) this week on my YouTube Live. You may remember Betty from the #dockerselfie hashtag she lead at every Docker event. helps you adopt service mesh and related tools around growing your container microservice architecture. Everything from API gateways to microservice debugging and more, they have a tool for. Betty is a great story teller and we’ve been friends for years, so I’m glad to have her on the show. See their tool list if you’re looking for more control and insight into your container microservices.
New Videos in Docker Mastery
In case you missed the Udemy email, I’ve added new videos nearly every month this year, and coming soon are multiple new Sections on how to use Kubernetes (and when you should use Swarm or Kubernetes). See the announcement. Don’t have the course yet? Get the $9.99 coupon link here.
Learning DevOps with Ray the Intern
Learning DevOps with Ray The DevOps Intern: Weekly #DevOps and #Docker Live Show (Ep 42)
You’ll be seeing more of Ray Vittum, who is now our DevOps intern and helping students with course Q&A and chat. Last week we talked live about his evolution from sysadmin to DevOps tooling and mindset. We’ve also got plans for doing Twitch streams of things he’s learning and us working out problems together.
Not New, But Still Worth Checking Out:
GitHub - wagoodman/dive: A tool for exploring each layer in a docker image
GitHub - Eugeny/terminus: A terminal for a more modern age
That’s all for now, lets hope I do these more often!
